Research Topics

Luciana Lisi works on the development of materials and catalytic process for energy production, environmental control and sustainable chemistry.

The main research areas include :

  • catalytic partial or total oxidation of fossil and renewable fuels
  • catalytic removal of NOx
  • production and purification of hydrogen streams
  • catalytic oxidation of soot (DPF)
  • metanation
  • purification of biogas from H2S
  • development of new catalytic formulation
  • development of structured catalytic systems
  • catalysts poisoning (sulfur and alkaline metals) and regeneration

Responsible for Task “Catalytic conversion of ethanol into butanol” within Waste2Fuels (www.waste2fuels.eu) project ‘Sustainable production of next generation biofuels from waste streams’ (N. 654623) (Horizon 2020).
